There are only a handful of programs that have developed a formula for success that has endured what typically faces OUR programs (i.e. administrative support, funding, constant staff turnover, etc.). Jackson State&#8217;s &#8220;<b>Sonic Boom of the South<\/b>&#8221; is one of those programs that could be considered a member of that elite group.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nThis year&#8217;s edition of the Sonic Boom has a VERY familiar face leading it. Specifically, he&#8217;s the brainchild behind signature performances like THIS one:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gwtBQh55GtQ\" width=\"420\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\nThat director is Mr. Dowell Taylor. You could say that he&#8217;s a legend of sorts when it comes to on-field innovation and entertainment. The Sonic Boom&#8217;s signature on-field, show-stopping style can be attributed to Taylor&#8217;s work. Fast forward to the 2013 version of the Sonic Boom:<\/p>\n<p><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3ii9g5KVDa0\" width=\"420\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Looks like the vintage sound is back.
