Another eventful labor day HBCU football and band weekend is in the books. Periscope is continuing to change the game in terms of HOW we experience game day (I caught a buddy’s stream of the John Merritt Classic myself…LOL).
A great weekend for experiencing the craft overall. If you haven’t already, take time to catch a game and take in the HBCU game day experience from start to finish. In the meantime, here are some sights and sounds from two high profile match-ups that went down this weekend. Let me re-emphasize that there are a LOT of programs that are back on the block this year. UAPB and Prarie View are definitely two programs that fit the bill. Alabama State and Tennessee State put on a show @ the John Merritt Classic, too. Lots of high quality performances to go around.
